👋 Hi there,
Here are Seven Things I was curious about this week:
Product development: Product Nuggets podcast episode on how I use data and analytics to generate user insights.
I’m also starting to plan the next year of podcasting, including a change of format towards something more interview- or discussion-based. Let me know what you’d like to hear about, or who you’d like to hear it from. Any ideas welcome 🤗Data and AI: Get geeky with the 2020 Data and AI Landscape
Design inspiration: A list of the Freshest web designs in October
Web design: Boring, standard contact pages represent a huge missed opportunity to instil personality and convert. Here is an article on how to do better.
Design: Another undervalued element of the web: Typography. Find some creative examples here and here.
Social Innovation: After Lewis Hornby’s grandma Pat almost passed away from dehydration because she’d forgotten to drink water for a while, he founded Jelly Drops. The company aims to prevent seniors from suffering a similar fate as the founder’s grandmother with sweets that are to 95% made of water. Read the touching origin story, or visit the company’s website.
Note-taking: I always dreamt of one day inventing a physical notebook or journal to fit my every need. In the end, this gave way to digital methods, but I can still take much inspiration from this blog series on The Everything Notebook.
