Hello Friend 👋
Here are Seven Things I was curious about this week:
Product Nuggets: Stakeholder interviews are one of the first things to consider on any project. In the first part of a two-part series, I discuss why you shouldn’t miss them and how I set them up.
Entrepreneurship: After thinking a lot about pet projects, I went on a few long walks and actually listened to the whole 3.5 hours of How to get rich by Naval Ravikant, investor and co-founder of AngelList. I know, the title is awfully clickbaity, but it really was highly inspirational and worth every minute. If you prefer reading, you can browse the original tweetstorm instead. (Thanks for sharing, Casey!)
Product development: Product marketing expert Arielle Jackson has a handy formula for positioning your startup or product: “For (target customer) Who (statement of need or opportunity), (Product name) is a (product category) That (statement of key benefit). Unlike (competing alternative) (Product name)(statement of primary differentiation).
Product development: Measuring product success in the right way is tough. Have you tried Customer Performance Indicators?
Illustration: I couldn’t stop looking at these vintage-style national park posters by Kenneth Crane.
Weird and wonderful: Conserve the sound is an online museum for vanishing and endangered sounds. (Great find, Andrii!)
Digital well-being: Mitigating the unhealthy side effects of technology is up to those who put it out there. So I added a modified version of the nightnight script to my website that puts it to sleep between 10pm and 6am. If you visit within these hours, all you’ll see is this:
